Artesian spring story

Welcome , this is a story about how I found a crystal spring of   water flowing from a gold vein. in a very unique place.
It looks down the coast of America to California, out to the pacific ocean, around cape beal, up the  coast of long beach VI  and in to Barkely Sound. It truly over looks over paradise.
Actually I never found it , it's always been there. The Indian's knew it was there , the Vikings and Spanish probably saw it as well. But who am I to say, I was not there. Someone else found it and  left us with  the solstice cave to show case it.

On  April 22/05   I found a picture I took of the tiny little knowle off in the distance, the gold beach is just behind it.
I wish I found the spring when I took the picture 15 years ago.
Funny thing , I had a claim  line that I ran over that little   hump, We Were way in the thick bush when  the guy that was with me "warren" saw the spring and gave me a rock from it.  He claimed he even saw gold flecks  in the water.
This road I am on,  was the closest road as the crow flies to the mound, you see In the distance.
I remember saying we should look at the top of the knoll for the lost gold mine but we never did.
We would have found the artesian well that comes from the gold/quartz vein. the lost mine
Now its a clear cutt
I will have to phone warren and ask him if he remembers finding it.  Well Its Oct and I did , he remembers it well.
When we first got to the pit , we saw A spring of fresh water coming   from the ground at the Base of the  pit.
The reason I say pit is because some one found it and blew it up  and mined some of it.
The amassing thing  is, we are at the top of a 100 foot high granite  knoll AND YOU CAN SEE ITS A LOT OF WATER.
It flows over some quartz then disappears into a culvert. I remember seeing this a few years before, while hunting.

This time I cleaned off the loose gravel and wow. A quick click of my camera and you can see what I saw.



I took the bucket full of  the rock form around the spring home and panned it. follow the floating   black sand link and  have a look at the gold piece floating on the black sand. It also has those little diamond looking crystles we pann in the creek below.

volcanoes, dikes and anthracite coal are a good prospect for a prospector and are the right conditions for diamonds.

 

This giant shear  could explain the spring of water coming from  the quartz vein. The water enters the vein this side of hoskins dike, seen at the top of the picture.
The shear  is made up of geodes and crystals Its only natural the water would enter it.

Maybe my  theory about lost hot springs being just below could be true they have been seen venting many times from the light house.

As you can see in the picture  below there is cavities in the  quartz,
The vein dips in the draw above  the quartzite mound. Right under willies sacred bathing pools.
The water  enters  the vein under Willis bathing pools.
one thing to note , I busted M.B. around 93 with building the road with out a permit. They got an amendment and all was well., but  they trenched the edge of the road and exposed the vein. Pretty hard to hide a  quartz vein on a prospectors claim.
