Here is my story about finding this spring.
April 3 trip to pit #5
Drive past the grano diriate pitt and the next pit is were the fun
begins.
The photo left shows the gold beach in the back ground.
You can just make out the rocks on the right side of the pit, With the gold beach
and the ocean in the back ground it would be a very nice spot for a mine.
The whole face in the middle of the picture is above a pool of water and the wall is a
prospectors dream.
Have a look at this piece of bull Quartz with pyrite in it in my hand.
Well I looked of the samples.
To get excitement all I need to show is 1
sample.
Apart from looking for bull quartz and
chalcholpyrite, you also look for magnetite and shear zones. This
piece clearly has many quartz shears crossing in all directions. Have a look through
my new magnifying glass , the lens of my camera and see for your self how rich this
pit is.
Here is a prospectors hint , the rock in the pictures has magnetite in it, basically Black
sand.
Tie a magnet to a string .
Pass it over the rock .
If magnatite is present the magnet will pull towards the rock.
The two lower pictures come from #6 on the sample map, we had them assayed in 1997 but
they were basicaly blank.
[Peacock ore.]
We built a trial, but Our
trail is now swallowed up in the
clear cutts.
the half way point was at the top of the Qyartzite mound.
When we built the trail, this was the only spot the the bedrock that was
realy showing the quartzite mound. This spot is also on the shere
that is showing in the pitts. 4,5, and 6
When we got to what we thought was the third ravien, we built a cabin and network of
trails and prospected the area.
This Quartsite is covering the poris Quartz vein and has created the spring.
The tree line in the back ground is right above my cabin and its on the lost creek mine.
There was another pitt on the next knowl and you could
see the drill rig.
When a mining company [Beau Prey 1987] looked at these
two peices of gold, did his report and saw this picture, he offered me $1.5 million and 15% after
smelter, you gota know something is there .
When we first started in 1985
we knew assays were not really that important because we knew what we had.
We eventually did do assays, but this was
during the bre x fiasco, . Before I took in the assays, I took pictures of the samples on
the 5,ooo power microscope with a built in camera, at the BMCS .
These samples taken from pitt 6, then sent for assays.
The assay results showed nothing, no ore, not even copper/bornite.
More to come.
Well Its April 16
On april 3 we could see this drill rig on the other ridge. april 16 We went to
find what the mystery machine was sitting on.
When we got there it was gone, but it was a drill rig
and what's left is the start of a pitt. this is the spring.
What makes the spring so amassing
is the view. look to the south and you see the mountains of
Oregon usa. It looks out to the pacific ocean to the entrance of barkly
sound and up the west coast of Vancouver island. Then it looks
into Barcley sound. It was clearly a look out and because of the spring
a historical place.
There is lots of saphires and pure gold in the creek .
You could even find these crystles.

Follow the little gold nuggets link and you can see its realy unique gold.
This PURE GOLD was panned 2 km down the creek from the Spring.
